OUCH- I can’t think of a better reason to vote for Bob Marshall now…
“In fact, this is the fifth consecutive survey to find Warner leading Gilmore by a 15-20 percentage point margin. In all five surveys, Warner’s support has ranged from 53% to 57%. Gilmore’s support has also been consistent, ranging from 37% to 39%. Rasmussen Markets data gives Warner an 85.0% chance of winning this race in November (results updated on a 24/7 basis by market participants).
Warner is viewed favorably by 66% of Virginia voters, Gilmore by 48%.”

How does this prove that Marshall would do any better against Warner ?

How does it prove that he won’t?
If you’re in one of two planes and you have a really good reason to believe one of you specifically will be shot down– which one do you want to be on?

Well, considering that Republicans are screwed generally nationwide, I think I’ll take the bus.
I don’t know why Rasmussen doesn’t include Marshall in their poll, but I’m willing to bet that, if they did, Marshall would lose to Warner by as wide a margin as Gilmore is right now.

The party certainly has a lot of reformatting to do on a national level, including holding our own accountable to their promises and the US Constitution that every person, regardless of party, swears to uphold.
Only when the majority of elected officials are held accountable by their party and not re-endorsed for the sake of holding a seat (thereby perpetuating the problem), can we begin to rebuild.
Fortunately the Dems have a fracture a mile wide as to who is ‘more liberal’ than the other very much like we argue over who is ‘more conservative.’
If you have any data to support why you think Marshall can’t hold is own against Warner in a predominately Red state, during a fiscal crisis when Mr. “I’ll raise every tax I can just like my buddy Kaine” is running a race for spending more, I’d like to hear it.

Even Rasmussen doesn’t know who Marshall is….
Get it?

Spanky,
I don’t know who you are… voters know who Bob is. Especially those in the populated areas where the majorities are.
Bear Sterns knows who Jim is. The White House knows who Jim is. The RNC knows who Jim is.
So do Warner’s ad people. Get it?
So do the people polled on Rasmussen.
Del. Marshall couldn’t actively run for office while the Va Assembly was in session, so there was no one technically in the race to compare but Jim.
Gilmore was ‘available’ to contrast against Warner. I was available to mow my lawn when I had no job, now I’m too busy– now that I do.

Hey Guys;
Did you see the favorability ratings??
Boy is Gilmore dead!!
That is one of many reasons I support Bob, but I think that his direct contrast to Warner is the best thing we have going.
Bob sponsors the MA, while Mark spends 25,000 of his own funds to defeat it!
Mark Warner and Preston Bryant are busy passing the largest tax increase in Virginia’s considerable history, and Marshall takes the entire state to court and wins 7-0 decision against the Regional Taxing Authorities……….Get it??
Gilmore is just fine with denying the constitutional right to life as long as we only deny it to those who are less than eight weeks old, and Marshall’s name is on most of the pro-life legislation coming out of the House.
Like Reagan said ” I notice that all of those people advocating for abortion have already been born”…………Get it??
